Nov 9, 2013
Director Elaine Placido 207 4th Ave. N. Kelso, WA 98626
Dear Director Placido,
Please accept these scoping comments for the environmental impact statement for the Millennium Bulk Terminal (MBTL) proposal for Longview, WA.
How will the American people benefit by having massive amounts of coal be sent in open cars through our special landscapes and past our inhabited areas, to be burned in foreign countries and add to the hugely dangerous impacts of global warming that are destroying the world?
We will not benefit! Wealthy companies who exploit their workers and the environment to enhance their bottom line and exorbitant executive pay are the ones who will benefit...and present and future generations will be paying for it for a long long time.
These concerns should be dealt with honestly in any EIS or other environmental assessment.
