Nov 9, 2013
Director Elaine Placido 207 4th Ave. N. Kelso, WA 98626
Dear Director Placido,
Please accept these scoping comments for the environmental impact statement for the Millennium Bulk Terminal (MBTL) proposal for Longview, WA.
Please don't allow freight trains filled with coal to pass through the Columbia Gorge to Longview to be loaded on ships for Asia. I know and love the Columbia Gorge, have hiked many of their trails, have served on its board, and believe in the beauty of the gorge. It doesn't need coal particles coating its landscape; nor does it need freight trains constantly sweeping along the river.
Just say no to this proposal so that the Columbia Gorge can retain its beauty.
