Millennium Bulk Terminals have been actively engaging the community of Longview for the three years they have been at the old Reynold's site. This terminal and the railroads feeding it exist to facilitate commerce and create jobs. Coal movement will just be the lastest in a line of porducts that have moved through this location. Coal really is just another product and should not be singled out for special treatment Recent SEPA more limited environmental reviews for shipping terminals with similar rail traffic, vessel traffic and GHG emissions along the Columbia River should be used as guides for developing the scope of the SEPA review for the Millennium Project, such as the recent grain terminal approvals.

This project will create additional revenue for a state that, like many others, can really use the economic boost. Through the entire construction process it will employ a significant amount of people and go a long way toward revitalizing Washington. This project will not only provide jobs in Washington but throghout the nation. I feel we should make this coal export terminal a reality.

Sincerely, Kent Salitros, P.E. Kent Salitros pksalitros@yahoo.com
