I support American jobs and the proposed port at Longview will create much needed employment for hundreds of Americans. Please include my comments as part of the public response to Millennium Bulk Terminals plan.

Stopping the coal terminal will not stop Asia from importing coal, but it will stop them from using high quality coal mined in the United States. Other suppliers on the market will fill this demand with coal that has increased mercury, sulfur and nitrogen oxides. During the scoping process, officials should consider the fact that not one ton more of coal will be used globally because of this project, and the net gain in greenhouse gas emissions is insignificant.

Thank you for accepting comments for this important proposal. The Millennium project will do a great deal for the economic outlook of this country. Let's get Americans back to work!

Sincerely, George LaVogue retiredfella@comcast.net
