Please include my comments as part of the public response to the proposed coal export terminal at Longview. This project should move forward without delay.

Coal should not be considered toxic especially in regards to the elements / minerals contained in coal. Please note the soil samples reported by Oregon DEQ during the Boardman coal terminal hearings, all contain naturally occurring amounts of mercury, arsenic, selenium, etc. higher than what is found in western U.S. coal. There the study showed that exiting natural dirt was more toxic than western coal.

I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to submit these comments on the scoping. Let's get this project moving forward so there are more good-paying jobs in the U.S.A.

Sincerely, Leonard Bird BIRD516@Juno.com
