U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Ecology representatives,
We respectfully request that potential impacts on northern Idaho be considered when your environmental review takes place on the proposed Millennium Bulk Terminal project.
We live in Hope, Idaho, on a hillside directly above the railroad tracks where the transport of coal would occur. We are concerned about the additional train traffic, human health impacts and noise, water and air pollution that could result from this project.
To ensure the safety of residents and protection of our environmental resources, we need federal and state agencies to examine possible harmful impacts over a broad geographic area, which includes towns such as ours in Idaho that could very likely be impacted on a daily basis.
Please include us in your considerations.
