I strongly oppose the construction of a coal export terminal in Longview, Washington, which would transport dirty coal on trains and ships through the Northwest and send coal to Asia.

The danger to human civilization from climate changes caused by burning carbon based material cannot be ignored in considering this project. No matter where coal is burned it hurts us in America.

In addition, the project would damage aquatic ecosystems and fishing areas on the Columbia River, increase tanker traffic and the potential for shipping accidents and spills, and expand strip-mining in Wyoming and Montana.

I urge you to consider all these impacts in the scope of the Environmental Impact Statement.
