Nov 19, 2013

US Army Corps of Engineers, Cowlitz County, Washington Department of Ecology WA

Dear Washington Department of Ecology,

Please accept these scoping comments for the environmental impact statement for the Millennium Bulk Terminal (MBTL) proposal for Longview, WA.

To Whom it May Concern,

It does not make any sense for Americans to ship millions of tons of coal to other parts of the world to be burned and pollute the atmosphere all over the world.

The only sense it makes is for the coal companies as they would make massive profits from the coal. If we allow the few to become rich and the entire world is sacrificed to pollution, what have we gained?

Please, no shipping of coal to other parts of the world which will only come back to haunt everyone via pollution. The few jobs involved are not worth it!

Robert E. Swope

Sincerely,

Mr. Robert Swope 16191 Tieton Dr Yakima, WA 98908-8021 (509) 965-2561
