U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Ecology representatives,

The impacts of the Millennium Bulk Terminal will be broad and far reaching. I live in North Idaho and am concerned about impacts from trains transporting coal, and I firmly believe such impacts should be fully considered in your assessment of cumulative effects of this proposed project. I also believe your assessment should consider the effects of coal-fired power plants that would consume coal delivered via this proposed project. This is a significant issue - our societies are overdue for investments in sustainable energy practices. It is short-sighted to continue allowing project assessments of potential impacts to be dominated by short-term job creation and corporate profit margins. Thank you.
