Thank you for this opportunity to voice my support of Millennium Bulk Terminals - Longview project. This port will benefit the economy of the region, and that of the nation.

Ecology should defer to the federal government for environmental review and permit decisions for issues that pertain to or would affect interstate commerce, such as rail capacity. Ultimately, global warming and the impact of fossil fuels on the environment are national government and international government to government issues and should not be considered in a local development EIS.

This scope is being finely crafted. The progress this port represents should not be hampered. It's time to get folks back to work! If the USA doesn't sell coal to China, some other country will and the supposed global warming will go on anyway. We need jobs especially in Cowlitz County. Any coal dust that are on the caol trains blows off within 10 miles or so of the mine. I have sat at the Vader Crossing waiting for a coal train to pass by and have NEVER seen any coal dust come off any of the cars.

Sincerely, Lynda Brown Lynda Brown lbrown07@centurytel.net
