U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Ecology representatives,

I would like to urge you to include Idaho communities in the environmental review of the Millenium Bulk Terminal. As an Idaho resident, and one whose family used to live along the rail line, I am concerned over the health impacts families living near rail lines will experience due to the coal dust that will escape from the coal carrying trains. Of bigger concern for people everywhere is the environmental impact of burning coal. Coal is the dirtiest energy source, increasing mercury contamination as well as contributing significantly to climate change. The United States, if we limit coal exports to Asia, will encourage rapidly developing countries to utilize alternative, and less damaging, fuels.

For these reasons, I urge you to include Idaho communities in the environmental assessment. Thank you.
