I am concerned with the amount of diesel particulants by increased train traffic. In Spokane because of winter air inversions the stagnant air can be dangerous now. With coal dust diesel fumes our air quality will be greatly reduced. Burning coal in china not only pollutes their air but comes back to us. Many of our bodies of water are already contaminated by this fall out. Now is not the time or place to increase pollution but to cut fossil fuel use. Train derailments are another problem going over our acquire and many bodies of water. Where is the local government to get the money to provide overpasses and train track improvement. Will there be enough space to allow grain shipments with so many coal cars? This is a bad idea for our health and existing jobs relating to tourism farming, lumber and fisheries.
