I am concerned about the adverse effects of coal transport from the Powder River Basin to Longview Washington for export to Asia. I am requesting the following be included in any environmental impact study/statement: An extensive analysis of the projects’ on-site and nearby impacts, including wetlands, shorelines, water and air quality, cultural and archeological resources, fish and wildlife, noise and vibration, among other possible effects A detailed assessment of the projected annual vessel trips associated with the terminal A detailed assessment of rail transportation impacts in all affected counties in Washington and near the, specifically including Longview An assessment of how the project would affect human health, including impacts from related rail and vessel transportation in all affected counties in Washington An evaluation of greenhouse gas emissions from terminal operations, and rail and vessel traffic A detailed assessment of rail transportation on other representative communities in Washington A general analysis of out-of-state rail impacts An assessment of how the project would affect human health in Washington A general assessment of cargo-ship impacts beyond Washington waters An examination of the significant proposed increase in rail and vessel traffic and what this added congestion will do to existing routes of commerce An examination of the cumulative impact of the proposed increase in rail traffic including traffic from the Gateway Pacific Project in Whatcom County and the Coyote Island Project in Boardman, OR on the freight corridor An evaluation and disclosure of greenhouse gas emissions of end-use coal combustion Thank you, Michelle DeShazer
