I strongly urge you to consider all ecological consequences regarding transportion of coal from Montana and Wyoming through Washington State and on to China. There are dangers in Spokane if there is a derailment. There are air quality dangers in Spokane from increased diesel emissions. There are dangers in Spokane with increased traffic obstruction. My understanding is the railroad does not have to pay all infrastructure costs so there is that economic danger also. There is danger to our water as coal chunks and dust blow into our rivers and creeks as it is transportated to China and then when it is burned and blows back to us from China. We are not being good citizens shipping this poison to others, causing increased suffering in China. It is my opinion that if this poisoning increases you will see more civil disobedience on the railroad tracks because shipping coal to China is WRONG on many levels. Thank you for preventing more harm to our planet and our health and safety.
