Submission Text
I would like to add my voice to those respectfully requesting that the EIS and SEPA analysis for the proposed Millennium Bulk Terminals export facility in Longview address the following: -Public health impacts from coal dust. Please specifically analyze impacts on vulnerable populations, including children, asthmatics, and the elderly. -Economic impacts on communities that will be affected by congestion resulting from additional rail traffic. -Cultural impacts on Native American communities affected by the extraction and transport of coal that is proposed for export. -Cumulative effects from the proposed Millennium Bulk Terminal, Coyote Island, and Gateway projects, including cumulative impacts on global warming and ocean acidification from burning the fossil fuels that would be exported at these facilities. Thank you to the project team, Cowlitz County, the Department of Ecology, and the Army Corps of Engineers for providing multiple opportunities for public comment on this proposal.
