I strongly hold that the burning of U.S. coal, while economically expedient, is utterly unwise. We would be paying the present with the future's security. Please look at the entire life cycle of the project, and think of the environmental impact not just of the trains traveling but of the overall coal exported and burned worldwide over the next number of years and decades. Is it progress to leave our children with a more degraded world than the one we inherited? And all for the sake of "jobs"?
