Coal is the dirty fuel and without plans for mitigating its' effects on the environment coal should be phased out entirely. We should not be exporting Montana's coal to China to have it blow back onto the United States and cause more greenhouse gas.
Montana coal would have to be transported through my town, Bozeman, MT. Coal trains will pollute via blow off from transport. Further coal trains will cause myriad problems for residents and commuters including emergency vehicles.
I say NO NO NO to transporting Montana's dirty coal to the west coast and then onto China. We need to curb greenhouse gases not encourage more use of dirty coal.
