Living in Missoula county I see many coal trains heading West, and empty trains going East. I am very concerned about the coal dust that covers the buildings, cars, and basically everything near the railroad as it runs thru Missoula, and many other Montana towns and cities. This has been proven to be a health hazard, to people, air quality, and the environment. There is also an issue with these trains interrupting traffic where there are no overpasses, which the railroad has no interest in building to alleviate the problem. Please also consider the global warming consequences of exporting millions of tons of coal to be burned in coal fired power plants.
