The trade industry is one of the bright spots in an otherwise bleak economy. Please approve the coal export terminal at Cowlitz County and speed up the environmental study to help get our economy moving again. Cowlitz County has a chronically high unemployment rate. There are environmental impacts of building trades and longshore workers having to travel as far as the Port of Seattle for work on a daily basis, instead of going to a job at Millennium. The impacts and air emissions related to no longer commuting to Seattle and Portland for work should be noted as an environmental benefit of the project. Millennium Bulk Terminals scoping should be thorough but held to the same standards as any other port proposal. We need to do everything we can to strengthen and grow the economy of Washington and the west in general. The project proposed will do just that. Thank you. Sincerely, Wess Sorensen wsorensen@bowieresources.com
