Please include my comments as part of the public response to the proposed coal export terminal at Longview. This project should move forward without delay. Stopping the coal terminal will not stop Asia from importing coal, but it will stop them from using high quality coal mined in the United States. Other suppliers on the market will fill this demand with coal that has increased mercury, sulfur and nitrogen oxides. During the scoping process, officials should consider the fact that not one ton more of coal will be used globally because of this project, and the net gain in greenhouse gas emissions is insignificant. The opening of Millennium Bulk Terminals proposed coal export facility will have a significantly positive impact not only on the state of Washington but the entire country. So I not only urge you to keep this permitting process moving forward at an efficient pace, but to also keep the scope within reason. Thank you. Sincerely, Frank Moe Frank More Frank.moe.fm@gmail.com
