I'm writing in support of Millennium Bulk Terminals coal export terminal in southwest Washington. I recommend you move forward with the environmental study, which will create jobs and economic benefit for a wide region at a time when jobs are so needed. Cowlitz County has a chronically high unemployment rate. There are environmental impacts of building trades and longshore workers having to travel as far as the Port of Seattle for work on a daily basis, instead of going to a job at Millennium. The impacts and air emissions related to no longer commuting to Seattle and Portland for work should be noted as an environmental benefit of the project. The opening of Millennium Bulk Terminals proposed coal export facility will have a significantly positive impact not only on the state of Washington but the entire country. So I not only urge you to keep this permitting process moving forward at an efficient pace, but to also keep the scope within reason. Thank you. Sincerely, Bill Reid BILL REID billreid007@comcast.net
