Did you see the photos from Harbin China this week? People in masks, visibility a few feet, health warnings . . . attributed in large part to the fact that they fired up their coal plant. The coal passing through our communities will not be burned here, but coal dust will be entering the air along rail lines that pass through small towns and urban centers. An in the end, we are all connected on this "flat" planet. The coal burned in Harbin affects our climate and so our natural resources, natural beauty, and ultimately the question of whether our children and grandchildren will flourish.
