This note is to add my support for the environmental study for the proposed port at Longview. I believe this study is critical to developing a better picture of exactly how Millennium Bulk Terminals will proceed in opening and operating this port. This project will not only provide additional job opportunities for unemployed citizens of the county, but will also allow building trade and long shore workers who are currently travelling as far as the Port of Seattle for work, the chance to work closer to home. The shortened commute would also result in a positive impact to air emissions, as people will no longer need to drive to Seattle or Portland daily. In summary, I believe that the economic, environmental, and social benefits of this project make it well deserving of a timely approval. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to submit my opinions and show my support for the project. Sincerely, John E. Fenton John E. Fenton john.fenton@patriotrail.com
