My concerns re all proposed coal trains are almost too numerous to list, but here are a few for your consideration: coal dust is harmful to all humans, animals, but especially children who are especially vulnerable to toxins. The coal dust will infiltrate water supplies, settle on farm land, in our waterways-rivers, lakes, the ocean. Why give China a competitive edge with our cheap coal, and morally, why should we send all the problems that coal and coal dust causes to that already over-polluted country? And the coal dust will come drifting back to us! The cost of maintaining rail lines for coal trains drains funds that could be better used to build fast raillines in the U.S. Coal trains will also impact traffic patterns in our towns as well as shorten response time for emergency vehicles. The list goes on and on. I am only a single voice in this fight against the proliferation against coalmining on the tremendous scale that huge corporations intend, but I hope and pray that these words will have an impact on your decision-making. Thank you for taking these comments seriously, Mildred Estrin
