My ancestral family moved to the south side of the Columbia River (Oregon) in 1860. All descendants from the original settlers have lived here by choice, because we appreciate clean air, clean wilderness areas and spending lots of time outdoors. I don't think it is fair to Oregonians, or Washingtonians that you allow coal companies to pollute our air, rivers and coastal waters so that other states can sell dirty coal to other countries. If other states want to mine coal, they can either use it in situ or find another way to get it to the most polluted country in the world.
