Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to the comments for the Millennium Bulk Terminals Longview scoping. I support this project and hope to see it up and running as soon as possible. Basic economic principles already tells us that not one ton more of coal will be used globally because of exports at Millennium; supply routes have no effect on demand. Moreover, the history of US use of PBR coal indicates that the use of PBR coal in coal based energy countries will result in a reduction of net GHG given the lower sulfur and other lower GHG emission characteristics of PBR coal; thus, the net gain in greenhouse gas emissions is insignificant. Keep it realistic. Keep it local. The agencies are doing a great job of evaluating Millennium Bulk Terminals port proposal.
