Dear U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, WA Department of Ecology, and Cowlitz County Commission:
Our country neither wants nor needs a coal export terminal in Longview, Washington. This proposal would hardly pay for itself if allowed to proceed.
The Columbia river is on its way toward recovery from numerous human incursions which have damaged it for more than one century. The proposed coal export terminal would place it on a very ruinous path which would be nearly impossible to correct. This "economic convenience" would damage the area beyond recognition.
Promptly cancel this idea.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this important matter.
