Dear U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, WA Department of Ecology, and Cowlitz County Commission:
Coal is filthy. The Obama administration has made it clear that we should reduce our reliance on coal and this most certainly includes the idea of exporting it. As an American taxpayer and zealous conservationist, I vehemently oppose the construction of a coal export terminal at Longview, WA which would transport coal on trains and ships throughout the Northwest.
Coal export threatens the health, public safety and economic vitality of our communities as well as wildlife throughout the nation. If you have any doubt it this, ask the Appalachian communities which have seen purple mountain's majesty leveled for corporate greed.
