Hello Please consider the following impacts of coal transported from Wyoming to/through the proposed Longview, Washington export terminal: 1. adverse impact on air and water quality in the Columbia Gorge Scenic Area, a national treasure, and on the citizens living along the route and breathing the emissions of the engines and coal dust of the coal-loaded trains 2. adverse impact on air and water quality of citizens of Longview, Washington from coal dust and from emissions from engines of coal-loaded trains 3. warming of temperatures of our world as a result of burning the millions of tons of coal proposed to be sent through the Longview terminal; increase in temperature will adversely affect all citizens of Washington by increasing severe weather events and increasing length and severity of drought 4. negative impact on farmers in Washington as a result of warming temperatures increasing the frequency and number of a)severe weather events and b)droughts; this will make farming less profitable and will cause food prices to be higher for all citizens in Washington 5. adverse impacts on invertebrates and fish in the waters off the coast of Washington as a result of ocean and river acidification; ocean acidification is caused by increased amounts of carbon dioxide in the air above Washington (from emissions from train engines and from burning coal) and results in sickness and death of invertebrates and fish Thank you for considering these comments.
