Dear U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, WA Department of Ecology, and Cowlitz County Commission,
I am opposed the construction of a coal export terminal at Longview, WA...due to the impact of transporting and burning coal on our Natural systems…the impact on our lungs due to coal dust and soot mixing with the morning dew and forming an acid that can eat thru fiberglass...the impact due to pollution and adverse chemical changes in our waters; causing ocean acidification, wildlife; pine beetle infestation due to warm winters - directly the effect of global warming/climate change due to the warming of the atmosphere, and in our rich, agricultural soils - from drought, erosion, and runoff due to the above mentioned effect of warming the earth's crust and water evaporation.
I urge you to consider these impacts in the scope of the Environmental Impact Statement.
Thank you
