Building the coal ports will be very beneficial for working people in Washington. During this time of poor job creation, middle-class, family-supporting jobs have great value. Who else will invest hundreds of millions of dollars in these port areas? I believe many people have no idea of the difficulties facing young families in rural areas. Resource jobs have traditionally been living-wage jobs, but many factors have reduced jobs in the resource industries. Washington needs its export industry. Good jobs are so scarce -- the regulators should assist in creating these jobs. I hope the agencies are able to improve and expedite the permitting process for the ports. Help working families -- build the coal ports! Bob Robinson Kingston, ID
