The Honorable Millennium Bulk Terminal EIS
Dear null EIS:
The continued burning of greater amounts of carbon fuels is directly leading to the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the oceans. This increase has caused global temperatures to increase causing polar ice melting, increased storm intensity, drought, flooding and sea level rise.
To continue business as usual threatens the ability of our planet to support human life. Our short- sightedness and lack of ability to see the long term effects of our actions now places our, and many other, species at risk of extinction.
Leave the coal in the ground, jobs for the dead are meaningless. It would be better and wiser to develop plans for helping all of us to cope with a hotter more unpredictable future by finding alternatives to our current practices and building a future that doesn't depend on further crippling of earth's ability to support us.
Sincerely
Jim Clements
