Dear Millennium, As I read the articles you have forwarded to the public regarding your bulk terminals, it appears to be a good thing, especially when you mention good family wage jobs. But, my question to you is who's job? Since the 1930s the ILWU unions have been the workhorses of the ports. They have the experience and expertise needed for these terminals you are proposing. But, nowhere do I see that you have given assurances those port jobs will go to the longshoreman. Clark County Citizens United, Inc. , with a membership of approximately 7,000 members, cannot support your project unless the ILWU unions are the proposed dock workers and that you have assured the longshoreman that those jobs are for them. All too often, good family wage jobs get lost, when non-union positions are offered or other unions undercut another union, and take their jobs. Our communities will not support such underhanded employment tactics. If you want our support, support ILWU. Best Regards, Carol Levanen, Ex. Secretary Clark County Citizens United, Inc. P.O.
