Dear U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, WA Department of Ecology, and Cowlitz County Commission,

I strongly oppose the construction of a coal export terminal at Longview, WA which would transport coal on trains and ships throughout the Northwest.

This proposal is short-sighted, not taking into account the cost to our children and theirs. It needs to be evaluated on a big picture level too.

This isn't only about impacts along a shipping corridor, it's a global magnitude project with global consequences which WILL be felt in time at the local SW WA level.

I urge you to consider long term consequences to the coal mining areas and to the people of Asia as well as to SW WA in the Environmental Impact Statement.

Thank you
