Dear Washington Department of Ecology,
Please accept these scoping comments for the environmental impact statement for the Millennium Bulk Terminal (MBTL) proposal for Longview, WA.
Don't spread coal dust through Lyle Washington. I have a home, near the railroad track. That whole community of children and elderly would be jeopardized, not to mention the very unique Columbia River.
Don't develop terminals or allow trains with coal. Stop the coal trains that are now traveling and spilling coal through the Gorge.
I have already had coal chunks hit my car while driving on the freeway. It was dangerous.
This is destructive to our country, just to make profit for a few.
We need solar, wind and clean energy. No more coal. Protect our health, our children, our fish and our environment.
