Greetings to all of you and thank your for your work in assessing the effects of increased coal train activity and the proposed terminal. It is my opinion, belief, and understanding that the proposed activities are not wise, but would further degrade the environment and create harmful outcomes for generations. I live in Sandpoint, Idaho, which has miles and miles of waterway that is affected by train traffic. I am not in favor of increased rail activity, as this town is already very noisy and congested from two rail lines converging. There have been two derailments in the last couple of years as it is. Profits for coal mine companies is not enough incentive to risk water and air quality, and I do not want tax dollars used to enhance the rail infrastructure to support increased coal train traffic. In addition, it makes no sense to send coal overseas just so it can be burned and increase pollution, which also affects us when the wind blows it back to the United States, and indeed all around the globe. It is true that some jobs would be enhanced or created by this proposal, but by far the rest of the population will not benefit. Please strike down this terminal proposal. Thank you again for your leadership in this important issue. Andrew M. Kennaly, Sandpoint, Idaho
