In regards to the Millennium Bulk Terminals proposed port at Longview. This project is critical to the businesses in Washington and I support this project. Coal exports are a huge opportunity for the Northwest. The infrastructure coal companies are investing in will both expand trade and offer job opportunities in the region. The work performed to date at Millenium has cleaned up property and created quality jobs in the area. They have proven to be a good corporate neighbor. The coal export infrastructure will make it cheaper and faster to export goods of all kinds and to add substantial value to US mined coal. At a time of increased competition from both West and East Coast ports, Washington can capitalize on this opportunity to expand trade and create thousands of family-wage jobs.

Regulators should take these economic considerations into account when designing their scope of review. Thank you for letting me submit my opinions and show my support for this project. It is good for the Northwest and good for our country. It will expand the tax base for both local economies and the Federal Government which supports numerous social programs.
