Dear members of the Army Corps of Engineers:

Have you walked the tracks along the Columbia River? I have. What I could pick up in a mile would have filled my grandfather's coal bin.

But it's 2013 and if my grandparents were still alive they wouldn't be heating with coal. Our country should be working on cleaner alternatives and not shipping our dirty coal to China. Have you seen pictures of the air in industrial areas of China?

Please think of the present and future of our area and the whole world, and do not approve this huge terminal in Longview Washington.

Thank you for your attention to this letter.

Sincerely, Penelope Scambly Schott
