To whom it may concern: As a resident of Canada for some 80 years I implore you to not further desecrate the ability of the Columbia River to continue as a food producing estuary, much like the mighty Fraser River Estuary. Rivers that has survived being dammed, clear-cut logged . Now they are both being threatened by being used as coal exporting terminals, endangering not only the people along the train corridors, but the very ecosystems that support wildlife, wildfowl and fish species. Not only are we threatening the lives of our own people by exporting this commodity by the sea, we are encouraging other countries to burn it and cast it back to us in the skies, creating global warming across both countries. We must not only think of the coal mining interests profits, but the value of human life and their environment. Do not approve of this route and any other route that could destroy what took so long to make. Sincerely:: Douglas George Massey, 875 Eden Crescent,Delta, B.C. Canada V4L 1W6
