I am opposed to a pile of coal three stories high sitting in my backyard. The coal dust coming off this pile will cover my house, pollute the air, pollute the lake. No coal terminal in Longview.
The "lifespan" for coal usage in China is diminishing already. By the time a terminal was built, the operational time for the terminal would be less than five years. Then what? The coal company is defunct. Longview is left with a pile of coal!
The environmental impact of a coal terminal can not be reversed. Everyone loses in the end. No coal in Longview.
