I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ILL- CONCIVED PROPOSAL.

Allow me to submit my comments regarding Millennium Bulk Terminals proposed port at Longview.. I THINK SENDING COAL TO CHINA OR ANYWHERE ELSE BY SEA IS A BAD IDEA. THIS TERMINAL PROPOSAL NEEDS TO BE NOT ALLOWED in the best interest FOR WASHINGTON,THE UNITED STATES AND FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. SOME CITIES IN CHINA ARE SO CHOKED WITH AIR POLLUTION THAT AIR QUALITY ALERTS ARE ISSUED ON A DAILY BASIS. Ecology should NOT defer to the federal government for environmental review and permit decisions for issues that pertain to or would affect interstate commerce, .I THINK TRANSPORT OF COAL ON RAIL LINES SHOULD NOT BE PERMITTED.rail capacity SHOULD NOT ALLOW THE TRANSPORT OF COAL FOR OVERSEAS USE WHERE SUCH USE IS UNREGULATED>. Ultimately, global warming and the impact of fossil fuels on the environment are PROJECT SPECIFIC and MUST be considered in a local development EIS.

So let's get moving as quickly as possible to make this project NOT happen. STOPPING THIS PROJECT It's what's best for Washington, and best for our economy and tax base. I THINK THAT YOU ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO NATIONAL AND GLOBAL ISSUES. CLEAN COAL IS A JOKE AT THIS TIME. (JOKE = MEANING NOT POSSIBLE AT THIS TIME) LOOK AT THE EFFECT OF A NUKE PLANT IN JAPAN BY THE OCEAN , WHAT IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO DO TO THE U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL WATERS. ENOUGH COAL SMOKE RELEASED TO THE ASMOSPHERE IN ASIA AND OTHER PLACES CAN AND WILL REACH AMERICAN SHORES WHICH INCLUDES THE STATE OF WASHINGTON. I am saddened that any environmental company and the people employed by them would undertake such an environmental review o support this project.. I would think that they are modivated by money and not by the values that got them originally into their profession. Richard Heredia, Vancouver Washington Resident
